One of my favorite kid songs is "I am a Promise" so when Little Scraps of Heaven Designs
came out with this file I knew it was one I wanted for my daughter's scrapbook. She's 25 now and I'm just starting so I will probably never finish-especially considering how many dance photos we have. Anyway here is the layout I made using the I am a Promise paperpiecing file.
Mark your calendars for the first ever Little Scraps of Heaven Designs blog hop. There is going to be so much fun you won't want to miss it! There will be tons of great projects and inspiration, as well as lots of fun blog candy. Oh, and there is going to be an AMAZING overall prize that you WON'T want to miss!

I don't get to do much scrapbooking but I love doing paperpiecings using my cutter (I now have a blue Craftrobo, Pazzles Inspiration, and Gazelle.)

I have a couple of sites that I like to buy from. Recently I've been eyeing some piecings over at Little Scraps of Heavens Designs. I love the new Little Scraps of Faith sets-especially the ones with children. Go check them out at

Awesome artist Tammy DeYoung offered a tutorial Saturday at Aimee Asher Elite for National Scrapbooking Day. It was a tutorial to make a background page using Photoshop. It was a lot of fun. Then HugMe expanded on it using Tammy's graduation graphics and it was perfect for a photo that I had from my daughter's graduation. I actually bought her graduation bundle since it was cheaper and I fell in love with them.
I issued a challenge to my friends at Aimee Asher. I challenged them to do a layout using a template from http://daniellecorbittdesigns.com/Starlets/?p=93. It is a freebie. I'll post mine as soon as I finish it. In the meantime if you want to participate go check out the forum at Aimee Asher and check out all my friends layouts while you are there.
We did a quick page exchange at Aimee Asher last month. The participants used Audrey Jeanne Roberts' Happy Spring Graphics. We were required to use at least 3 of the kits which included AJ'S Happy Easter!
AJ'S Happy Easter 2
Happy Easter Word Art
AJ'S Happy Spring! Decorated Alphabet and
AJ'S Happy Spring! Alphabet.

Everyone who participated got copies of the pages.

These are what I came up with. The second one was loosely based on a template that I saw. I liked the ribbon lines and decided to put them there as a result.
